Airport/Airline Experience:
AVIAPLAN AS has undertaken the largest and most significant on-shore project in Norway, related to the new Oslo International Airport at Gardermoen. Since 1989 we have been in charge of the Master Plan, preliminary and detailed design of the airport, including passenger terminal building (with later extensions) and ATC tower, railway station, airport hotel etc. From 2009 on we are working with preliminary and detailed design of Terminal 2 at Gardermoen.
In addition to general knowledge of airport design AVIAPLAN AS has specialized knowledge of logistics, baggage handling systems, passenger boarding bridges, check-in systems, signage, etc.
The aviation and airport expertise has been developed through many years of close cooperation with the Norwegian CAA (now AVINOR ltd) and their subsidiary Nordic Aviation Resources (NAR) as well as other airport authorities around the world. The assignments include, in addition to Oslo International Airport, the International Airports in Hyderabad (India), Tallinn (Estonia), Gothenburg and Stockholm (Sweden) as well as projects in China and Egypt. In Norway AVIAPLAN AS, through its partner companies, is responsible for major extensions to the terminal buildings at Flesland (Bergen) and Værnes (Trondheim) airports.
