The board of Avinor has decided to start Preliminary Project for T2

At the previous board meeting in OSL, it was decided to launch pilot project for the T2. When this is an important decision for the whole group is the board of Avinor to comprehend the
final decision. The board of Avinor adopted on 4 September start Preliminary Project on the basis of the submitted sketch project.
In the initial project, we will further detail and quality to the design and functionality, so we will see a still better basis for calculating what the project will cost and thus provide decision support for a development decision. We plan for the initial project completed in February 2010.
In a situation where aviation is in a difficult period, the Board is concerned that the cost does not increase for our customers.
Therefore, it is a vote of confidence that we, despite the challenging situation get acceptance for us to move forward with the project.
This is an important milestone in planning for T2, and I want to salute all who have helped to develop the project. The board was impressed both by the quality and enthusiasm we put for the day.
Now we put full pressure on to make a good pilot project. A development decision will depend on several factors, both final cost for the project, traffic development and Avinor’s ability to carry such a large investment in its financial frames.
